Advanced features for flexible and secure manufacturing processes
The latest release 5.14 of the SOFLEX-PCS production control system is now available. This version expands key functions for tool automation, NC program management, and automated clamping technology. Many of these enhancements are based on feedback from manufacturing companies and address specific requirements in daily operations.
Overview of new features
• Define workpiece storage areas more flexibly
Workpiece tray type definitions can now be created and saved outside of SOFLEX-PCS. They can be imported via the user interface or via the new Carrier Data Exchange Simplified interface.
• Automated clamping technology with interchangeable clamping devices
SOFLEX-PCS now also manages individual clamping devices such as jaws or sleeves and supports the automated assembly of clamping devices in the machine room.
• Advanced management of grippers and adapters
Grab attachments can be configured in detail, including individual components such as fingers. Storage locations and inventories are fully mapped in the system.
In addition to functional enhancements, Release 5.14 includes numerous optimizations and measures to improve system stability. Comprehensive simulations and tests ensure high operational reliability even before delivery and guarantee the long-term performance of the production control system.
A large part of the further developments are created in close cooperation with users. Feedback from real production environments provides valuable information for practical functions and is directly incorporated into release planning.
