Great new features and optimizations are included in SOFLEX-PCS version 5.13. Our software remains manufacturer-independent and provides a flexible, neutral platform that can be seamlessly integrated into customers' existing IT networks.
Here are a few examples:
- Enhanced productivity monitoring: An improved algorithm not only monitors machine productivity, but also takes set-up stations and automation equipment into account. The productivity status is displayed online on the home screen and the operator is proactively informed if a productivity fault occurs.
- Interactive home screen: The system components displayed in the workshop user interface take you directly to an info panel that shows the pending alarms and statuses of this component.
- Notifications: Important events in the operating process are signaled in the header area of the user interface. The operator can react immediately to this information.
- Flexible shelving: The distribution of storage positions in a warehouse is organized flexibly. SOFLEX-PCS calculates the best storage location on an axis (horizontal or vertical) and thus optimizes the space requirement (compressed storage).
- Avoidance of collisions: The contour of a pallet is automatically measured and recorded by SOFLEX-PCS when it is picked up from the setup station. This prevents collisions that can occur with incorrect manual entries.
- Additional OPC UA interface FLAVOR: The new FLAVOR interface (Flexible Automation via OPC UA Message Records) offers a wide range of functions for robots and machines. FLAVOR takes into account the limited OPC UA capabilities of simple control components.
